Susan, how proud I am of you for getting your Applebee's to work with those that dine to donate to a worthy cause. You did good George Bailey!! ; )
Susan,
What a great idea! I hope you have an awesome turnout for the event.....
Ann
Susan...
I hope that you raise a lot of money. Hey, you gotta eat anyway, so why not make it count for something!
The local chick fil a does that here in town for the schools. You go in and eat and sign in and part of the ticket gets donated to the school and the "class" with the most usually gets a chick fil a party tray as well.
I hope you have an uber great turnout.
Gary, I'm just trying to get Clarence his wings and some food in children's stomachs. xxoo
Ann, thank you. I hope we have a great turnout too!
Richard, we are going over as an office tomorrow to celebrate December birthdays, the holidays, and support the food drive!
Tammy, Thanks for the well wishes. xxoo
It always good to get involved in charity work. My wife and I are already involved in several efforts, but we are planning to become more involved. Best of luck with your efforts.
Good Afternoon Susan! I did not know that AB's did that. I will have to mention it to our Charitable foundations... (so we can hit them up as well!) Whats for lunch?
JL, I am a do-gooder by nature, so helping comes very easily to me. So now we have two things in common, our sense of humors and being generous with our time.
Robert, go to http://www.rosegroupdining.com/community/dining-to-donate.asp there is information there. I actually went directly to a local Applebee's and spoke to the manager. They give you a form to fill out that provides the tax ID number of the charity. So far, they've been delightful to work with. Hopefully, tomorrow will go well.
Susan.. Do you want to hear something that just BLEW MY MIND. Over Thanksgiving the schools in Cromwell, CT wanted to collect canned and non-parishable foods for the needy in town. Great idea, right? When the director of human services in town squashed that idea.. her reply "We don't need any food.. we are all set.. there aren't that many hungry people in town". There are double what there were last year, and if food isn't needed in this town, do you think other towns might need it.. Let's help one another. UGH!!!
